Hey guys, I installed a r/r by following the sticky note in knowledge base. Used new r/r same as in thread. Bike is running fine and all but when I check voltage on battery terminals with engine running its anywhere between 15-15.6 depending on revs. Ive put two different r/r's on now with same results! Any thoughts? Thanks in advance!

 

Which type exactly you used? is it the new FH020AA ???

 

No it is the r1 older style with one plug. 5 pins. It actually doesnt have a number. On it i got it on ebay. But its for an earlier r1, new.

 

So you don't know if it is a mosfet? Do you know what year R1? some of the older models didn't have a mosfet R/R.
It sounds to me like the R/R is defective in any case, the charging is high and it will kill the battery....

 

Is not a mosfet. Its so strange i bought 2 and both must be defective? There both doing same thing!

 

Can you dispute this with the seller or Ebay? How much you paid for this?
