pit bull stand

Since I bought my VTR I've been thinking about a rear stand. I've done my homework and comparisons. I wanted the pit bull but found a used stand, forget the brand, for $30.00. Not a bad deal for that stand. Today I was hanging out with my good friend, and former Hawk pilot, watching the ravens beat the colts when I mentioned needing a stand. This friend had a VTR until he hit a deer at 70mph several years ago. The hawk was totaled and my friend was damn near totaled, too. Turns out he still had his pit bull stand and said I could have it if I wanted it. I now have the stand I wanted. A very good friend indeed! I am doing some work for him on his house this week so I will be sure to give him a fantastic deal in return. Pay it forward, eh?

I would hate to purchase online a stand only to find that it doesn't work on the Super Hawk. The most popular stand in Amazon is the Venom brand. The Pit Bull is the most expensive. And some of the other brands are Sky, CHN, and SMI.

Can anybody recommend one of these that you know works with the SH? Or perhaps another brand and a source for it...?

Thanks in advance,
tsp

What I have found is the rear stand brand isn't that critical as long as it is of decent quality.

For a front stand, on the other hand, I only use a Pit-Bull though YMMV.

You can't beat free! The stand my friend gave me is just fine. Not new but not beat to hell either. It's just a reminder to me to not hang on to stuff to tightly and give it away when I can. Some very amazing things have been happening since the beginning of the new year. Love the pit bull stand! Now if I could just chase down that annoying hiccup at 4000rpm!

I would suggest-IF you are attempting to safe money , and buy a Habor frieght rear stand.. Only on lifting the rear...
I own Pitbulls, and the quality, durabilty is worth the exspense.

Ditto on the Harrbor Freight stand. I bought the cheap steel one (they also have an aluminum one that cost a few bucks more) and works for everything I need it for. I wish it had a longer handle (like the Pitbull) but I can weld one on if it was that big of an issue (which its not).
