It was a perfect day for.....

Man it was nice this morning. Clear and cool. Around 50 deg here in central Alabama.

I ate breakfast and buzzed down to Cyclegear to score me a set of the Pirelli Diablos they had on sale. Stopped by Home Depot for a few things then back home.

It had warmed up a little and the sky was crystal clear.
I got all my gear ready.
I slid my little earphones on and fired up the iPod.
I lifted my foot into place, feeling the rounded, rough metal surface.
Then, the other foot finds its place.
My fingers found home....

I then started climbing the ladder and began painting windows.
I painted more windows.
I then scrapped paint off windows.
I mowed the lawn.
I trimmed the hedges.
I ran the string trimmer.
I fixed a rotted piece of wood on the basement door.
I drank a beer.
I took a shower.

I never rolled the SH out of the garage.

I hate doing household chores on a day like today :/

You could always put on your helmet and leathers & install some grips on the ladder , LOL !

I wonder what the neighbors would think about an extension ladder with blinkers, rear view mirrors, and clip-ons ?

Man i agree, we are headed to the gap next weekend and surrounding roads north of Gatlinburg towards Shady Valley for a four day weekend of riding Friday - Monday. I sure would have like to have been there this weekend; however i had to mow the yard, host a B-Day party for my daughter and finish putting the newly converted SuperMoto CRF450R back together after buying a street light kit.

Man i would have like to ride today. Sunday will be spent getting ready for next weekend.

Please tell me Thumper you are planning on taking the Supermotard to the Gap. The hawk is a lot of fun but the Gap is just a little too tight for my taste on the Hawk but hey its all I got. Cherhola (not sure on spelling) Parkway is a completely different story.

For sure i am taking her. I will have the VTR loaded as well, but just like my recent track day visit to Barber. I ended up playing on the SuperMoto all day while my beloved VTR sat in the paddock area waiting to be ridden. I ended up only riding the VTR one session, so i hope to give both bikes equal time this time.

Last summer i went to the gap with a buddy and rode his CRF450X that he converted to street and had a blast on it.

The CRFR doesn't have DC voltage like the CRFX does, so i had to buy an aftermarket Stator and all the lighting stuff to allow me to run lights and brake light. With my current sprocket gearing she should be able to hit 100 to 110 on the track days i plan to do.

It should be a hoot riding it down Hwy 129.

Is your wife still sticking with riding or did all us jerks trying to be Rickyracer scare her away from bikes?
I am trying to talk my buddy (Guy that was with me at Barber) into going this Saturday towards the Gap. His wife is not as understanding as mine towards going all day riding the hawk or any bike for that matter. Maybe we will see you there.
