Oil Leak

I noticed this today. Where is it coming from? Anybody else have this issue. I read posts that said something about O ring behind the water pump.

If the water pump seal goes, coolant leaks from a weep hole at the front of the crankcase. In later models, a hose was attached to the weep hole. The hose goes to the left side of the bike. Usually the first clue that there's a coolant leak from the water pump is a little puddle of coolant beneath the bike. I can't tell by the photo what the substance is. I'd be inclined to wipe it off and see if it happens again.

You sure you didn't pick up a little drip off the road?

swordfish is an unknown quantity at this point
wipe it off and keep riding it. if you get it again, see if its coming out of the weephole. if it is, get your impeller seals replaced.

I can't take a pic for you but you're already right in the 'hood of the weep hole. Start from the pic you posted and keep going to the right around the front of the case and the hole will be on a flat surface facing forward.
