Offered a Ducati in trade

My buddies bike broke down so I let him ride mine to work a few days. A coworker really liked it and offered to trade his 93 Ducati 900SS that is supposedly in perfect shape. I don't think I want a downgrade in hp and an upgrade in maintenance cost but it was flattering.

Depending on what's not working, I'd take the 900SS. If it's in pristine shape, that's perfect. A Superhawk can be had in pristine shape anytime (leftover new ones, owners who take good care of their bikes, etc).

My bike is fine. My buddies 929 broke down so I lent it to him to get to work. If it was a 916 I'd even pony up some cash but my dad had a new 900SS back in 95 and it just didn't do anyhting for me. My VTR is a fighter though so it would be easier to sell the duc. Hmmm... Now you've got me thinking.
