New VTR 1000 owner with questions

Just purchased a nice VTR 1000, 1989. It has a Fox racing shock, Race tech springs, and gold valves, and Remus titanium exhaust. I know these are high dollar items, but does any one have an idea what these items would have cost back in 89? I got such a bargain price for the bike, and think the mods may be more than the price of the bike.........damn this bike is fun.

do you mean 1998,thats the first year they made the vtr1000 superhawk, well, really 1997,but that across the pond for those years.
the springs and valves together are around 500 or so,without putting them in.if you have the upper and lower valves.
fox racing shock, thats a guess.but if its originally made for that bike,i will guess 7 to 800,im sure im wrong and others will chime in.
and the exaust,i couldnt begin to tell you,but its alot of money,im sure.

You must mean 1998. Super Hawks were produced from 1998 year model until 2005. Figure $250 for the Race Tech springs and Gold Valves. I'd guess about $750-900 on the exhaust. Also just guessing, I'd value the Fox shock at $900 new. Congratulations on the new bike. I hope you didn't get it because it's going to appreciate greatly in value. It's not. But, on the bright side, it's got to be one of the funnest bikes to get out and ride ever made. Good luck.

Thanks for the info fellows, the bike has more value than I paid for it, so I feel good that I finally made a good deal. :>)
