New stuff

Well, the old "mod mill" is running again...

Here is what will be going on my VTR this year:
- GE Nighthawk headlight bulb
- RC51 front calipers (thanks Jason a.k.a. SlowHAWK) with EBC HH pads (to match my current RC master cyl.)...
- Hyperpro progressive rear shock spring
- re-packing kit for the Microns
- Jim Alhman speedo corrector (picked up from a chap on the Speedzilla site)

I was looking at also replacing the engine coolant with an Engine Ice/Water Wetter mix to bring down the temps but may hold off a bit on this one. I have a buddy who does suspension work (and also owns a VTR) so I may get him to re-build (oil change,...) the forks and shock. We'll have to wait and see on that one.

I may also get the Microns powder coated black (have a look at my pics in the gallery and let me know what you think of this potential move)

I must confess that as much as I am looking forward to finally getting out and going snowmobiling, I am also looking forward to Spring rolling around so I can twist the throttle on the "Storm"

cheers

What are the temperatures in the wintertime in Montreal? Water Wetter (or Engine Ice) won't protect against freezing temps. I would go with WW, if only because Engine Ice is still pretty slick if it were to spill.

Winters (typically) are way below freezing temps here but the bike is spending time in heated storage until April or so. IN terms of the Engine Ice, the info I have seen is that it acts like regular anti-freeze in terms of its protection value in the cold, it is just more efficient at ridding the engine of heat.

Ahh, I was not aware of those properties of Engine Ice. That makes sense that it has properties similar to antifreeze since it's real slippery on the track.
