New owner... GREAT site, just what I was looking for !
Hey guys, I just bought a new surplus 02 VTR last Wednesday. I feel like I stole it at 5k out the door with 2 helmets, 1 mile on the odometer and a dent in the tank (I lowball offered the 5k cause of the dent and a few other minor scraps from shipping )
I love this bike though, very happy with my purchase. I want to a few performance mods as money allows. This will be my second Honda twin. I had a pretty mod'ed 650 Hawk GT a few years back ..

Welcome to the list. $5k doesn't sound bad at all, I paid $6800 for mine with the extended warranty last Feb and it had 56 miles. Those Hawk GTs were great little bikes which is one reason why I bought a Superhawk - too bad they didn't give it a single sided swingarm like those GTs had!

Oh yes it has been done with a VFR swingarm, just saying it would have been nice if it came that way originally like the Hawk GTs... I like to ride the SH more than modding it :wink:

I like to do both! Welcome aboard Pdaddy, there's a wealth of knowledge here. Don't be afraid to ask although expect to have to weed through the sarcasm, I'm a major culprit of that. Don't take what is written too seriously as we do have some smart asses here, good natured smart asses....well some ****** too.

I noticed that as well. I see he is in Trussville. Im not far from there at all. I work at the BHM Intl airport and he is likely 10-15min from there. 8)
