Need Help With Body Questions

Hello everyone, I am a new SuperHawk owner. I am looking forward to riding it and seeing if it rides as sweet as it 'will' look. I got one that someone had done some trimming and also lost some fairings and such. I, for all intensive purposes, don't have any of the front fairings. What would anyone suggest as to be a nice finish, but also be somewhat economical. I am pretty savvy with fab, but have never had a 'plastic' bike, so I am at a little loss. Any help would be much appreciated.

Trevor

I just would like to know what front fairings others have used that will fit the bike good, without looking like crap. I can fab brackets and suck, just more geared towards metal work than fitting a plastic or fiberglass fairing. I am better off searching out stock parts on ebay, and if so, what all would I need to have? Keeping in mind I do not have all the stock parts to know what to look for.

A) From the tltle I thought this post might be about back pain or workouts
B) I still can't tell what the question is. Not sure what "finish" means.
C) Also not sure about the savy with "fab" or how it relates to bodywork

Welcome aboard...

Welcome to the forum

Watch ebay and this forum. There's always little "garage sales" going on for various parts and bikes are being parted out on Ebay all the time. You should be able to find stock plastics in no time.

If you want to restore your presumably street fightered VTR back to original - here's the parts layout for reference. As previously mentioned they come up on flea-bay but as some bits ( fairing panels) take the brunt of any tip they can be anything from immaculate to scruffy and need repair to finish.

Might be helpful if you could post some pics to see where precisely you're presently at.
