Beautiful bike. I ride my friends RC as much as he lets me. It is bad ***! I could never own one as my only bike though. Way too uncomfortable.

Thanks...Just had it delivered this morning...there was a bunch of 'Go fast, High Horse Power stickers' on it. I removed it immediately. Brought it from the original owner but it has not been well taken care off. I going to give it once over tonight. Figuring another winter project of refinishing....All good though.

You always had good taste in motorcycles. Lou! This one is no different. Careful on cold tires. You should send it to Texas for a winter vacation.

Yipe 2001....I cleaned her this evening and there is a lot on minor nicks and dings but otherwise perfectly sound. Majority of the cosmetic damage happens on the vinyl which is good. This weekend I'd be doing some fluid change and stripping down to get the rim and swing arm repainted. The PO really neglected it but I could tell that she didn't lead much of a hard life, just ignored and stickered up. Very little stone chips. All good for now.

Thanks Doug...Yeah I won't be doing anything stupid on it just yet as the tires are shot...Will order a set this week. I am leaning towards Pilot Powers...Never tried them before...hope it is good.

So have you ridden it yet? We need a back to back comparo. I feel like it is that bike you lust after but that it just wouldnt be that satisfying since you ride the VTR. I wanna know if I am wrong. Of course I think most vtr riders think of this as your wife's stripper sister, but could you live with it? is the ride better? Inquiring minds want to know

RCVTR is an unknown quantity at this point
Very nice. You'll love the chassis, once you get it set up.
It is a very friendly, confidence-inspiring track bike and canyon carver.

Okay..

Finally got her cleaned up, new fluids, new seals and new shoes. Took her out this morning..15C. My initial reaction is Wow!!!. Totally different machine. The only way to describe it is Hawk X2. It feels lighter, way more planted and smoother. Shifting is less clunky. It has a different sound. Not sure if this is a daily machine as I have not been stuck in traffic on a hot day. But the riding position is more aggressive. But that's the price you pay for playing with the "wife's stripper sister".
