If you don't want to go with a cover, the second best thing would be to apply a good wax/polish that blocks as much UV as possible. This will slow the breakdown and oxidation of the clearcoat polymer and pigment degredation.
I clean my bike with Honda spray/polish, and it is supposed to have UV protection etc.

Time is the true test though, and with only 3 months in the sun I can't tell.

Hey that Geza Cover looks good.... who here has used one?
Oh and I generally just use Plexus for majority of my bike parts to keep it looking smick and i've got no complaints
