Smile Moving to Richmond, Va.

Howdy,
I will be moving back to Richmond, Va. this spring, after living in Pittsburgh, Pa. since 1988. Looking forward to being back home with family, and a more temperate climate. Hope to hook up with fellow Richmond Hawk riders. Looks to be late April to early May for my move, I can't wait. I will be living in the Midlothian area, near the Smoke Tree. I will post again when the move is complete.

Found my Super Hawk on ebay in Monroeville a couple years ago. Drove up to get the bike. PA mountains looked like an awesome riding environment.

Yeah, post up when you get back & ready to ride. I get out most weekends. Try to head west to the Blue Ridge as often as possible.

Went to Bikes in the Bottom a couple days ago. Good variety of bikes, maybe 40-50. A few cool kick-start vintage BMWs. Poe's moved up on Main St. a few years ago, but they still call it Bikes in the Bottom.

I can send a link with some cool pics from when i went in December, if you like.

Hey, Thanks. Pics would be cool. I've actually been there a couple of times (bitb), but it was in the late 90's. I have riden the mountains of Va, WVa exstensively more so than the mountains of Pa.. Road conditions are better there than here. The quality of twisties is also higher in Va and WVa. Favorite trip is camping at Seneca Shadows campground, Seneca Rocks, WV, and hitting the roads. Most of these trips were several hundred milers. Have also riden the Blue Ridge Parkway from start to finish, camping all the way. The Hawk makes a fine little sport tourer, even with the frequent gas stops; I'm usually ready for a break anyway. Anyway, the link would be great. Thanks.

I haven't camped for decades, but I'm planning to one weekend in April. Willville Motorcycle Campground at Meadows of Dan, just off the BRP.
