Question Michigan to Memphis,TN

Hey all,
Ive been on the move for a year or so now. Moved from Lapeer,MI to Biloxi,MS for work in Aug '10 - then in Aug '11 from Biloxi to Memphis,TN
I've been without my hawk this whole time....shes sitting alone in the garage with new tires, brakes, seat and ready to go....poor thing.

All this being said I'll be settled in Memphis for a bit & NEED to find a way to get her down here.

Considered flying home & riding it down but lets be honest....I dont have the cojones to ride through MI & OH in Dec.

I'm looking at $600 + to drive up, rent a trailer & bring it back..plus a 12 1/2 hr trip each way.

Any ideas of reasonably priced, reliable, safe transit companies?
Just putting it out there!

Thanks!!

depends on how bad you want the bike, how much time you have off work, if there's anything else you need to take care of at home, what condition the bike's in, what kind of windshield you have, what kind of clothing you have, etc. Pick it up is probably the best bet unless you can see good weather reports for the time you'll get there. If something happens to the bike when you're riding it down, your screwed.

Not worth taking a chance unless it were summer and you could enjoy the scenic route instead of straight roads and interstates which bore me and **** me off, esp when i gotta wear out the center of a tire too. If you could enjoy the trip it would be a different story.
