Michelin Power 3 any one tried them?

I've been trying to resist starting another tire thread. But I just have to ask. Has anyone tried the new Michelin power 3's? Not the roads 3's!

There new this year. Said to be as sticky as a power pure and have the tread life of a 2CT.

Claimed to give a track time 4.5 seconds faster then a 2ct. Huge claim!!

I'm still leaning towards the dunlop Q2's but I thought I would ask

Mine should arrive Friday so I will let you know. I picked them up after my buddy put them on his 919 and raved about them.

shake-n-bake has a set on his, when we were talking about them he said the all around performance is 10 leagues above the 2ct's which is what i have on mine and what he had prior to the 3's. this will be what i put on the bike next for sure. all the reviews are awesome but even the 2ct's are a great tire. they havent failed me yet! i would recomend the 3's.

I will be testing them soon my self! I really was tossed between the Q2's and PP3's.. but in the end I decided to try the PP3's if for no reason other then I loved my power pures on my SV, and these are said to be better!!! had to try

I did a ton of research and the power 3's only give you an advantage on the rain they are the same as the 2ct's in dry weather from what I have read... I am a pilot guy myself but after a month of reading reviews and threads I went with the dunlop Q2's got them for $239.00 shipped from bike bandit and had them in 2 days... they have the same stickiness as the 2ct's but slightly better tread life... me and 2 friends all got tires a few weeks ago... had them put on the same day and all ride the same way and ride together so we are going to do a little test and see who's lasts longer... one put the power 3's on his gsxr 750 the other the 2ct's on his 954... we went on a 325 mile ride saturday and all loved the tires so time will tell......................... gopro pic of me riding the triple nickle in ohio

It'll be interesting to see your results. Plz do post it so we can learn from your experience. Of course everyone rides a bit different, but at least we'll have an idea of how they hold up, esp if your comparison is with your fellow riders that are all generally running the same routes. I'm def interested. Thx for sharing that experiment.

Both the Conti and the Lops look like good all weather rubber?

Any thoughts or are the Q2's and PP3's just that good.

I am leaning toward the Q2's because over the years Dunlops have never left me on the side of the road.

I had an Avon Radial on the rear of my 1800 fail on a hot 90 plus summer afternoon, a belt slipped and the tire went egg shaped so we stopped and everyone took before pictures of my death ride.

I put the wife on another Goldwing in our group that day and I rode the bike home, pretty wild ride at 45 mph she wobbled real bad and the quicker I went the smoother it rode so I stood on it and ride smoothed out around 70 or so and I road it home like that and the ride was close to 100 miles to home.

The Avon rep swapped out the tires no questions asked, until I told him no Avons no way!

The Avon Rep bought me Dunlops for my Goldwing! SIRR1

Aligned wheels using the string method.. it makes sure the front tire is in perfect alignment with the rear or vice versa..

End result was that both rear wheel markers were in the exact same place so OEM method would have worked just as well.. on the bright side though, the bike had been in a crash before I bought it.. Now I know my frame is straight

I have a 1000km on them now so I'll give my two cents.

at full pressure (manual)hawk pressureof 36/42 they were ok but I thought I could feel a very slight slide when Icornered hard on the front wheel... not knee down but a quick flick into a 90 deg bend.. so Idropped the pressure to 34/38, and they felt much better! haven’t found a cleanenough road to test knee down traction but had it leaned pretty good at highspeed this past weekend, and they felt awesome! No regrets.. coming off a pairof Michelin power pure’s on my SV650s, the power 3's feel just as planted

Two thumbs up!

Found another review..
