Wow...cool! Thanks!

But I like this one more:

The 950 would be a beast on the open road. Probably a handful on the kart tracks though...if it was free I'd take three.

I have my Penny bank in mind afater watching these. I rode my bussies Honda CRF450X (Woods Version) that he converted over to Motard. We had it at the GAP and damn that thing is a blast. I ripped thru turns and rans thru the GAP way faster than i could even think of on my SuperHawk.

So that got me thinking, humm spend a grand on some Motard wheel for my Honda CRF450R bike i already have that sits most summers (off season) and have another play toy.

It is amazing how fast you can turn a bike in the up right sitting position when.

Once in awhile, Speed would show the Supermoto Series from France. None of the local coverage of the racing here, but as the sport is growing (the sales and availability of supermoto-ready bikes is increasing), soon the coverage will come.

Do you have some local kart or motard tracks nearby? Those are real fun. Very tight - way tighter than most "regular" tracks.

Local Tracks not needed, this is TN, we got plenty of backroad twisty elevation change roads to ride on.

I know, no the same as the track, but still fun.

Deals Gap is a great place for a motard.

Yeah it is! I've seen videos (I think they were posted by #9) of 'tards on that highway. Looks like tons of fun. One day, I'd like to try it out, even if I have to take my bicycle.

The last motorcycle I rode before I scattered my left ankle was a Yamaha 450cc single cylinder four-stroke dirt bike. It would flat out 70-80 mph on a gravel country road and go straight up if you asked it too. In the rough stuff you stuffed your knee pads in the gas tank and stood on the pegs. On the faster dirt and gravel you would ride like the guys in supermoto - steadying in the turns with your boot out. (excellent way to break a leg btw) Your army boots and shin guards were your friend. PJay was writing the other nite about learning how to turn a sport bike by learning in the gravel. That's exactly what this bike was a specialist at. If you had the ***** to turn the bars and dial it up that thing would dig it's way out of even the most radical rear-end drift. Power and torque solve a miriad of problems.

Yep, sound about like my adventure down deals gap on a Honda CRF450 motard. It was a point and twist deal. I followed a couple of guys that were really setting a pace down thur 129 on some bad *** sportbikes., They were dragging there knees and all and i was right behind them just twist it up in the up right position.

These things only weight in arounf 250 lbs with about 60 hp and grippy race rubber. Yeababy that was a blast. This particular CRF450 was geared to run 90 mph in top gear.
