Marker Light

Maybe a stupid question but I don't know the answer... So, here it goes:

Does anyone know why there is or for what purpose there is a marker light (silly little light about the actual headlight) on the Super Hawk? I don't really notice this bonus feature on other bikes. Is there anoter bike out there that has it?

Re: Marker Light

It's a proto-type for a moveing LED light.......called the "Kit" mod.......rumored to make your bike Ultra fast.........

I'll go back to my coffee now....

Re: Marker Light

I read somewhere that it was some safety thing for European Hawks.

Is it there to blind the bugs at the last possible second before impact? Or...maybe so that you may still be seen in the case you headlamp blows out? Hmmm.... is it on any other machines out there?

I put a super bright amber LED in mine. You can see it over the hi-beams too.

I'll post a pic of it later

I was actually thinking of doing the KIT mod to it. I have a buddy that makes fiber optic signs and offered to make one. I think it would be pretty sweet

OH!!, and I have seen the same light on late 90's CBR's also. Other than that I think we are exclusive in the useless light thingy department.

They've used it as late as the 2004 600rr and I've seen it on other bikes. My buddy said that when he's in front of me at night and I pull a wheelie he gets hit by the little light. Whellie light? NAH
