leathers damage...

leathers damage...
so I borrowed my LIKE NEW leathers to someone to use. 2 years later I get them back like this.
Holes in the knees. Thanks a lot. So he says he got a quote to repair of $30. I really find that hard to believe that they can repair that for $30.
What do you guys suggest I do?
What makes me extra irritated is the fact that I borrowed these to this kid to use, I get them back 2 years later after I hound the hell out of him to get them back to me, and they are returned like this! The kid now makes a ton of dough in bikes and even claims his dad as a dependent. WTF! With all his sponsorships etc, you would think he would just take care of them or something!

I dont know that he used them for 2 years, he just had them that long. He thinks its ok to offer me $30 to get these repaired. I honestly think thats an insult. I dont want to be a b!tch about it but christ dude... Talk about taking advantage of my kindness. The 16 year old kid makes $300k a year, and this is how he treats the people who helped him get there?!

I dont know why he didnt just replace mine. I think hes tryin to get off cheap. He didnt even tell me they were damaged. I got the "surprise" in the mail.
So you guys think I should ask him to pay to replace them? How much do you think is appropriate? Theres no way I will ever find them used in my size.

After discussing with many other fellow motorcyclist, we all agree that they should be either replaced or purchased from me. They were not loaned to you in a repaired state. They were in like new condition. You also had them for over 2 years and I know the only reason I got them back was because I was nagging you about it. It's not morally right to damage someones property, return it 2 years later after being nagged about it, and return them damaged without saying a word about it.
It will cost me an average of $500 to replace them.

This Aaron Colton? 14? you're lucky he even responds to your emails.... lol.. he's right smack in the middle of that "I know everything, who the **** are you?" stage.. and making loot to boot..
Ali, I say good luck. You need to drop kick the kid, and talk to his Dad..

He should definitely replace your leathers or buy those back from you. Just remind him that had he not had your leathers, his doctor bill would of exceeded the cost of the leathers, let alone that rubbish about giving you enough to have them patched up. They've got money obviously, so hit them hard for it......
<-----
Man I really hate rich people. Even when they have more money than they know what to do with (constructively), they still try and weasel out on people. A drop kick is in order.

yeah him. hes 16 now. I talked to his dad. I got the same reply. He didnt reply to my emails until i started posting everywhere like on myspace, cyclespace, calling his dad's shop... trust me I ran this kid down. if i didnt borrow him those leathers he wouldnt have been able to get on the track which is definitely where he is heading in the long run.

Damn what the hell kind of kids pop out of wombs these days?
...Then again I watched the news video on his site and saw his Dad was a squid too....err...I mean stunter...so it makes sense why he's also not a responsible person in doing the right thing.
That kid needs to meet Mr.Darwin and step next door to visit with good ole Miss Karma while he's there.

Jack, I do not know who you are but I told Ali that I would do what it takes to make her happy. Thirty dollars was the quote that I got for a x by x size hole to be repaired. I have the situation under control and I did not need your two cents about the whole deal. Aaron ------Original Message------ From: jacktakenoslack@<nospam>charter.net To: aaron@aaroncolton.com Subject: nice leathers Sent: May 22, 2008 10:55 AM now, could you please replace the torn-up shreds you sent back to ALI? 30 bucks? Don't be a chump, do the right thing...
