K&N & plugs

I changed to Iridium NGK plugs and a K&N filter. I find that the bike is noticeably louder and vibration now seems to occur very lightly like a buzz of a Kawasaki based on engine RPMs that occur from the tank to the handlebars and then to the foot pegs

ie.
3k - tank feels like it buzzes minutely then at 3.2k stops
5k - handlebars buzz then stops at 5.2k
7k - foot pegs buzz then stops at 7.2k

9k - tank buzzes

Could the K&N be inducing this new vibration harmonic? It's just weird. The bike only throbbed lightly in the tank but taking the bike somewhere for this tiny, almost unnoticeable problem is pointless. I also had the carbs cleaned and synced at 9k miles at the same time. Bike is VERY responsive and quick and nimble and gas mileage is the same. Is this buzz sonic-based?

Hi Mikec, carb synced-clean done. But carb re-jet done?

Vibration like that happens on my KZ...it only happens at specific revs

carb sync might do it but really just go through your bolts and make sure your rubber dampers are good and that your bolts are tight...a tight bike should not buzz

I also got the K&N and the NGK Iridium Plugs. Carbs at 182/185. No tank buzzing, but the normal vibrations round the hole bike. Just as before... bit more responsive. Maybe some screws ( tank ) not tight?

Or the anti-vibration rubber ( sorry for the vocabs ) under the tank ( side ) forgotten? I did once and then the tank buzzed, too...

Well, it's so subtle and it travels from the handlebars and goes away, then the tank, goes away, then the pegs, goes away, then back to the handlebars, depending on RPMs. I think it might be an engine thing.

When the plugs were out, they were a bit dark so perhaps a bit rich even still. The K&N should lean-it-out nicely I think, as I do a lot of riding above 9000 feet and always above 5500 feet at least or higher.
