Just to let everyone know..

Well, I'm picking up my new bike tomorrow morning. Its a pretty mint 02 954RR. Its Silver and Black, and of course when I get it Ill shoot up some pictures. It has 11k miles, Micron pipe, Scotts Stabilizer, and flush mount signals. And finally, it cost me $4,450.00. The Hawk, as much as I don't want to sell, will probably for sale in the next week or so. I'll probably miss it alot. But, Ill stop in here once in a while just to see whats going on. Thanks for everyones help.

That's a clean looking bike. I like inline fours, but I have ridden a couple of 929s and they left me looking on the ground for the powerband. Seriously, they make more power than the Superhawk, but not until way, way up in the rev range.
I hope the 954 has more *****.

Yes it does. I was expecting the same thing from what I have read, but the power is there. Everywhere.

Really enjoyed my '03 954 w/ full Micron Serpent exhaust. Sold it 'cause the 'Hawk is (for me) a better everyday bike. Missed the big power and got a CBR1000RR...

I can assure you that the 954 makes plenty of power EVERYWHERE in the powerband. I could run mine down to idle in 6th gear (18mph) and it would pull cleanly. Rarely went WOT 'cause there really was no need to. Again, I had a full Micron Serpent exhaust w/ pc and a good map, but it was strong.
