I'm pretty tore up
I crashed my Superhawk. I low sided it somehow, it didn't seem like I was going that fast. I slipped on something - but the details are a little hazy I don't really remember that much of the accident. I got hurt from being flung into a ditch. They did a CAT scan when I arrived at the hospital and they found a burst fracture on my T-6 and another tilted disk. I am going in for surgery tomorrow to put some pins in and move the tilted disk back.
My buddies towed the bike to my shop, but no one has looked at the damages real closely yet.

Sorry to hear about that. Don't worry about the bike, it can be fixed. Concentrate on the back, I know how much an injury can suck.
Best of luck with the surgery and recovery, please keep us posted when you can.

Sorry to hear about this.
I feel your pain as that was me 6 months ago. Sitting on the side of the road thinking WTF just happened???
Just work on healing up. Don't worry about the bike.
Don't beat yourself up too much. Just glad you were wearing your gear.
It took me 6 months to put my accident together and figure out what actually happened, so I understand the hazy part.
We're pulling for you and let us know how the surgery goes and if there is anything we can do for you.

Bummed out for you, it sux so hard when you fall, just get yourself healthy and worry about the bike later.
I had a similar lowside type fall a few years ago due to some moss on the road, it just took the front right from under me in the blink of an eye.... my first and only accident on the road, it can happen at any time to any of us ..... take care out there.

Sorry to hear you're busted up. It sucks and it hurts. Like the others have said try to concentrate on healing. **** on the road is my biggest fear.
For entertainment in the meantime you can pull on all the positive energy you created around here when you were building your frame-scraper.
I got wheels, 530 sprocket set up, a pair of VFR bars, lots of other **** so when you're ready, post a list.

corn,
Glad you're getting good care. That sucks, your luck lately has been horrible. Perhaps there was some kind of fluid from a car on the road. It doesn't take much. I got off over the bars 21 years ago after hitting something super slippery on a freeway ramp I'd ridden hundreds of times. I never saw anything, and all of a sudden the rear was gone like I was on ice. I recovered, but couldn't make the next curve and went head on into a curb.
You're due for some good karma after all the good things you've done. Heal fast and get back on the bike.

It sounds like you are going to be ok after the recovery. That's good news!
I know what it's like to hit the ground and not know how it happened. It's amazing how your body can heal.
Take you time and heal up well. Best wishes for a complete recovery.

that sucks buddy, hope you heal up quick. i know how bummed out you can get, my buddy high sided his 2010 triumph daytona 675 the other week. he was coming around a corner off main road at 40 mph or so, hit gravel, the bike started to slide, caught traction and through him off, flipped over and everything. so far not including the gas tank hes into 4500 for damages if he fixes it himself.

Ouch... You aren't having much luck lately... Concentrate on healing, never mind the bike, that's fixable... Fingers crossed... Any part you wan't I have in the shed is yours for shipping (which unfortunately is a bitch)...

Yeah, sucks dude. When I had a back injury I took up bicycling, low stretched out body position on a well fitting road bike did wonders for my lower back. That was 20 years ago, now I pedal more miles each year than I put on my motorcycles, and figure I've got at least 70,000 on my bicycle. Life goes on, the changes are gifts that make us stronger. GL.

Me and you on the same day! Some rash and a huge bruise from my abdomen to my right knee. Smacked a direction sign. Small bone chip on right wrist, busted my right shoulder socket, limited movement.
Andrew, sorry to hear about your down, glad you're ok. We'll be resting up on the couch at the same time.
My bike didn't look bad. Broke the front fender and dented the tank. Gonna pull the forks sometime this winter and check the runout to verify straightness.
Obviously neither of us are in a hurry to do/receive a swingarm.
Get better Andrew.
