I4 vs V2

The weather is getting nice and I am just really starting to put in some riding time on my hawk {new to me 98 with 8600 miles}. I really like the way the bike handles and the torque is great. The only thing is the vibration. It seams to vibrate more than i think it should. Seems to have a hesitation. {but I really havent twisted the throttle to really find out}. This is my first twin so it may be OK. I just dont wanna tear something up. Another thing is the previous owner has some type of intergrater that makes the turn signals act as running lights. I like that because I like to be more visible anyway. The question is the intergrater box is mounted in front of the tool area and I know what that is but I also have two more devices with wires attached also. They sit right in front of the tail lights. What are they? And lastly If I look down at the tail lights {where the bulbs connect}I can see a gap right in front of that area. Its hard to see in the pics but the gap is about 1/4 inch and I can see straight though to the ground. Seems If i ride in the rain water would come in through there. Here are the pics. {Highlighted in yellow}

The two boxes on the top pic are the stock Honda electronics. As for the gap in the second pic it looks like the PO installed an undertail. If you're worried about it then I guess you could RTV silicone the gap or something.

This is just a trailer box that you need to wire any modern car to a 2 lights trailer design, it blinks the brakes instead of the yellow flashers.

I have no idea why you named this thread I4 vs V2.

You might need to do a tune up to smooth your engine. Sync. up the carbs.

As far as vibration in your clip-ons go, you may want to try the weighted bar ends from Hudson Valley Motorsports. I have the 13.5-ounce ends, which look sweet and really dampen the vibes.

Guess I'm lucky... nothing about my Super Hawk really bugs me!

I'm 55 & never had a problem with the vibes making the hands tingle. Reach to the bars is comfy for both wrists & back. (I did get one of those Throttle Rocker deals, so I can sit up & one-hand it for a little position variety.) Seat does fine for all day sportbike rides for me.

Sure, I'm sore after day-long rides, but this ain't no GoldWing!
