i have 1997 vtr1000f it has a ok engine and transmission.
yet a lot of things to be done.
1. i think petcock of the tank is done. if i lefty the tank half full or something in few days. all of them is gone without a ride.
2. with the leaky petcock i think there might be a leaking on carb so and it's very old so it needs to be rebuild anyway.
3. fork is blown and slightly leaking need a new seal and if i can afford i might gonna full rebuild it.
4. it doesn't has any ok condition fairings on it.
5. there is no headlight, turn indicator, nor taillight due to dumb former owners fuckery so it need a rewiring all of them and seems like former owner done some **** with generator regulator and wires on that look horrible still kinda worked. Yet worst case might need a whole new wiring harness on it.
6. switches on both side of handlebar definitely seen better days. need a alternative replacement.
7. need a new seat cover. former owner put a blue seat cover on it. and it looks horrible.
8, need new break pads and maintenance on calipers think i need to rebuild them as well since it's very old seal might not be good as much.

these are my expectation of thing i gotta do. yet i don't have money to start or space. basically i need strip down the bike and put it back together.
i do have some tolls to start with tho. if i had a garage i would definitely start to taking some part off and inspect it more. and then decide more whether i need new parts for that or not. since i don't have garage i can't even think of that.
i just estimating the full rebuild right now which i can't afford. and it make me sad. i like this bike and i wanna get it back to life and ride it.
i really wish some wise advice from here where to start or what to do.
