How much did you pay for your SuperHawk?
Ya I know I took a hit on the trade, but I needed transportation right away as my wifes car took a **** and she needed mine. The right front frame rail, inner fender, and a small part of the firewall has creased and needed serious straightening at the least, in my eyes it needed a new front clip.
And since you collect Zeds, you're sure to hate me for this...
The vin was in the low 12,000s. Everytime I saw an early 240 I would check the vin, including 3 years of JCCS and 2 years of Canby, and never found a lower vin, or one anywhere close. It was 100% original down to the shift ****. It ran like new and tranny was buttery smooth. The seats were redone, but all of the vinyl inside was in great shape and with a little cleaning looked new. Hell even the dash wasn't cracked. It was parked in 82 and I got it last year, boiled the gas tank, blew out the fuel lines and changed fluids and after getting fuel to the carbs it started first time every time. I didn't want to get rid of the car, but I still have a 69 2 door 510 project to keep me occupied.
This is what I originally wanted to do with the car

I paid a bit much for my 98 in 2003 with 28k on it. $5,500. Has ape cct, racetech springs and valves, jardine carbon high mounts, double bubble windscreen, galfer lines and rotors, Sargent seat, steering damper, carbon hugger, and sliders.
Bought my 1999 new in 99 for like $8900 and still have her sleeping in the garage. Only 11k on the clock too (5 other horses to ride..).
Someday she will be replaced by a DUCATI..
I'll let it sit in the garage before I let her go for $2000 tho.

$3300
2002 bought 11-15-2012 with 4820 miles and new tires in addition to what's in the sig. I'm back and forth on the mufflers but the Jardines are too loud. I just bought inserts so we'll see how they work.
1998 Bought in 2010. 11,400 miles, full high mount TBR exhaust, smoked windscreen, battery tender, oil, filter , manual, no rear pegs and a seat cowl. 3rd owner 17,100 miles on it now. Bought in coloumbus ohio. 3,000$

2nd time: i sold it with 25,xxx mile 2011 $2900.00, dude wrecked it and i bought it back for $600.00 and only cosmetic damage ha, lucky me right

Bought my 05 Hawk today actually. Paid 4500.00 all in at the dealer. Came with a ton off add-ons like steel braided lines, led kits, etc etc. Has a little under 15k on it. Not even a scratch on this thing. It went through the shop and they did cam bearings I believe.
98 baught mine in 2011 for 1,000 bucks.28,000 miles but had some road rash.m4 full exhaust header back.pilot powers. ram absolutely perfect purred like a kitten.replaced fairing and a bunch of other mods and now o have a guy at work offering 3,400 .I can't let her go tho I love this bike
Bought my '98 in February '07 for $4,000 with 9300 miles on the clock. She came with RT One High mounts. Since then I've changed the oil, installed a Yamaha R/R, APE CCTs, polished the wheels and put 10k miles on her. No complaints here!
Buying one in the am. 2002 w/ 9k miles for 3000. Fair deal? I need cheap transportation to work with gas at 4 bucks and no end in sight.

My first was a 1998 with 28000 on the clock, a bit beat up but seemed to run good and had a ton of extras. 2200.00
Then 3 months and tons of headaches later I found it had a bad motor, can tensioner blew on former owner, he only fixed one cyl.
Second 2002 superhawk was a roller with title, no plastic and about 5000 miles. It was an impound. 500 bucks with a title.
Fast forward 2 years, 3000.00 total investment with a sweet hookup from a former vtr owner on a bunch of new parts and with some elbow grease...
I am now riding my frankin- chicken
Wohoo

00' for $2300 42k miles, jardine exhaust, broken right upper fairing, trex sliders. Broken brake pedal, new contimotion tires. Needed some work needless to say but in Hawaii it was a good deal kbb was 3k for my zip. New tires was a plus. Not bad for a liter bike on a limited budget
I don't usually play this game, but, I am still pretty jazzed about the deal I got. 2002 VTR from a guy who rode it Tennessee, it had 17500 miles on it and I paid $3000.00 for it. Included in the deal was a sargent seat, bike cover, tank bag, soft side bags and a set of barely worn teknic leathers, (they fit like a glove since the PO was my same size). Bike was completely stock without CA emissions. I don't know if it's a smokin deal but I'm pretty happy with it.

I paid $3000 for my 98' in spring of 2012. Has a ton of custom parts, JD suspension (little lite for my size) woodman clip ons and rearsets, don't think I can list all the extras on the bike. PO did give me a full set of bags, cover and the org exhaust. I think I paid too much really but I like it.
