help need cam chain tensioners

help need cam chain tensioners

killed the motor but picked one up at a steal, want to drop in sum new tensioners, could anyone help on where to get some

I found some on ebay, just search "cam chain tensioners" or under "VTR1000f" Last time i saw them on ebay they were only like $60, there was only one set but from what ive read the APE manual tensioners are a good buy. Hope that helps, ive been looking for some as well...im getting worried about mine

Here is a link to the guy I bought mine from. This is about the best price you will find and he will also sell you the gaskets needed for installation. Follow the directions in the knowledge base carefully and get yourself a manual. The factory manual can be downloaded from the knowledge base. Oh yeah, don't drop any bolts into the crankcase .

Try a google or whatever your favorite search engine is and search on "ape cam chain tensioners" - several places that handle them came up on the first 2 pages of results.
