Hello from Manitoba
Hi all,
Just bought a 1998 Superhawk yesterday that I found on Craigslist for $2000. The bike was 300 kms from me so I grabbed my girlfriend and a buddy and we went for a day trip to MN to pick up the bike. I just got a 1974 CB750 on the road a couple days before but really haven't ridden since 1999 and was a little nervous to ride a 1000cc bike. So far I have found the SHawk very easy to drive.
This forum seems to have a wealth of information and I hope I can contribute something every once in a while.
Thanks for having me and here are a few pics of the "Twins" as I like to call them

Welcome. Having owned both bikes I'm sure you noticed that the VTR feels like a 350 compared to the CB750. The CB's were great in their day I don't think anything prior to the 90's can hold a candle to a Superhawk!

Yes it does have a dent in the rear wheel. Just noticed that today actually and am a bit disappointed I didnt notice it before. Luckily there doesnt seem to be any vibration or out of balance because of it.

Rear wheels can be had pretty cheap.
Welcome to the Forum, and the VTR owners club.
And don't let them turn you off on the stock saddle. I like it just fine. You want a bad saddle, ride an early 90's Ducati 900ss. That thing felt like it wanted to split you down the middle after 100 miles.

Welcome! Good to see someone else other than me from Manitoba on here finally! Enjoy the bike, its a lot of fun to ride and unique because there isn't a lot of them around our area. I have some spare parts if you're looking, shoot me a PM and i'll let you know what I have.
