Has anyone had any experience with the Suzuki GSX1250FA? Owned one/ ridden one?

I've Owned a few of the earlier 1200's and have some experience with the 1250.

I loved my bandits. Great machines, fast powerful and reliable. Comfortable too, that's a machine you can get on and only stop for gas, without feeling too cramped or a terrible urge to stretch. There are also a ton of aftermarket parts available for them, so they're really easy to build and customize.

That's my 2 cents.

I'd pretty much agree with what ElBandito stated. I found the 1250 a bit porky, but it was very comfortable, and decent linear useable power.

I know the 1200s were based on the old oil cooled GSXRs, but are the new ones water cooled?

I've ridden both, but rode the 1250 a year ago at a demo day, so I can't quite recall if it was water cooled???

I spent a couple of weeks test riding a Bandit 1250 a couple years back and really enjoyed it. It is all day comfortable with a really impressive engine (ultra-wide powerband, smooth). While not excessively strong on top end, it has power where you need it most on the street, in the lows and mids (very torquey). Of course, with 1255cc, I can only imagine what one could unleash with a bit of tuning......

Yes, it's heavy, and is not state of the art but it's a great do-it-all streetbike. Would I buy one? yes.......
