great deal on LED's

Hey- before you say "Not another turn signal thread!!! DO A SEARCH!" - check these out.
http://www.d2moto.com/Image.aspx?URL...S103-Amber.jpg

I got this promo email from D2Moto- the signals look nice- front facing, LED. I think I'm going to get a pair. I figured I'd post just in case anyone else was in the market. I'm not sure if they come with any additional housing but I figure a little creativity will solve any mounting problems.

I emailed them to ask if they are just signals or also running lights (1 or 2 phase). Not sure if they'll require any electrical modification either but it shouldn't be too tough I dont think.

Wow that is a great deal! To bad I have LED's on the front and rear. I paid close to $50 for each pair.

too bad shipping according to their Shipping Calculator is over 11 bucks.
so 2 turn signals + shipping = $30+

That 30 bucks is for all 4 turn signals. Really pretty good price.

I ordered 4 Motrax arrows yesturday. I didn't want the hassle of wiring all the load equalizers for led's. Mine were $41 shipped.

you are right, i did not realize it was for a pair.
So am i assuming correctly, these can be connected directly w/o resistors of any kind?

can the stalk be shortened? maybe that rubber looking piece can be taken right out? what about resistors or flashers to fix the fast flash rate?

I dont know if we should assume that they dont need resistors. They probably do. I would put a multimeter on the once connected to the battery but before mounted and compare V and I to the stock ones.

Do the motrax ones require no electrical mods???

None. They are two wire, so the fronts won't be running lights, only signals. I got 'em today. Me likes!

The LED ones always needs resistors, in some they are internal, but hey are there none the less..

The other option is to use a load independent flasher... It's both cheaper and easier than mucking about with 4 resistors...

stupid hard to find resistors! i'm wondering about wiring the oem socket and bulb in the system and just shoving it in the trunk!

The easy solution would be one of these... http://shop.ebay.com/items/?_nkw=led...flasher)+relay

Just replace the stock relay and you can use any combination of bulb and/or LED's...

So i installed these, they are about an inch longer than what i already had but way more visible when on, even in daylight. So for safety and functionality reasons i will keep them.
Will try and get pics as soon as i can.
