got to ride Charlotte Motor Speedway

Went to a Charity thing this weekend at the Charlotte Motor Speedway. After donating to the charity I got to do 6 laps around the track. What a blast, with those bank turns. A little tricky coming off turn 3/4 into the trioval part. It sends you up the track towards the wall. Scary at first as all you see is wall. Learned quicky to look down the track. It was a fun day, maybe a track day is in store for next year.

I found the same thing with turn 4 going onto the trioval. I've not been on the track since resurfacing. are the bumps gone in turn 3?

the one I did was the Speedway Children's Charity. it was 10 bucks for 3 laps. There is a control rider, but it you lay back, you can get some good speed.

Not sure how bad it used to be but there are still some small bumps as you transition to the carousel.

Was it bikes and cars together? How many bikes were on the track? Any pics?

If it was like when I went Sheldon, they let about 20 bikes out on the track at a time. there was a pace car in front, but no other cars. Just bikes. If you were toward the back, you could lag back a bit and then pick up some decent speed. They tended to watch a bit close in order to keep it safe. If I recall, they told us they would do 60, but I was able to push over 100 easy enough.

To the OP, a track experience would be even more of a rush than going around the speedway was. I highly recommend it!
