Got busted by the Highway Patrol.. on video

This probably isn't as dramatic as it may sound, but I did get a warning for 65 in a 40.
This is just a vid of my rid on Sat. My buddy has a nice camera setup on his Buell CR, and it just so happens that I was leading us around on my supa fast yellow Chicken. Be a pal and leave a comment on his video, or just click the thumbs up thing.

It's a good thing that trooper didn't go ahead and pull out when he was doing his bootlegger's turn to run you down, your friend may not have ended up so well. You need some more twisties down there....
should have run, would have made a much better video
gopt off lucky, i got stopped doing the same but in a truck with 2 bikes on my trailer, 645 in the morning going to the track in the middle of no where. cop knocked it down a couple km but thats it, figured hed be nicer as we had 2 bikes going to the track and not ripping around on the street. oh well. you got lucky none the less
camera setup is pretty nice too, sound is good aswell, what kind of camera is he using and hows he keep the wind from muffling the sound?

The good thing about this area is there are 5 good tracks that offer cheap trackdays within driving distance. should have run, would have made a much better video

thats really clear for video and audio on a standard go pro. probably because it wasnt mounted to a rumbling vtr at 100+ mph, lol. windscreen probably made a big difference too.
ive tried the honest thing, our problem is we have alot of fresh young cops trying to make a name for themselves. most of the old guys have retired or are about to and the new batch think theyre king ****. oh well, i just make sure i ride with people who are slower lol

LOL yeah, the Houston area isn't known for its twisties. At least it's still in the 80's/70's this time of year. If I remember right this part of Texas was an ocean like a hundred years ago. I may be wrong, dubya was the governor when I was in school and Texas isn't known for it's education.

Yeah, I'm not one to run. I really don't need a felony on my record. Somehow I have an outstanding record for getting warnings. For getting let off with a warning I'm probably 8-1. That one ticket was a bitch though, 89 in a 60. Usually if you're honest, don't argue, and show responsibility with wearing gear and having a motorcycle license with insurance they usually let you go. Anyway, the camera is a regular GoPro with nothing done to the mic. Maybe it's out of the direct wind sitting behind the gauges.

The Texas state troopers don't play. You WILL get caught, they will pursue you to the grave. Many cities employ a "do not pursue" policy but that doesn't work on the highways with the highway patrol and numerous county sheriffs. You made the right choice.
thats a big one. hows it work in the states, do you guys have a points system like we do in canada? also id imagine stuff like this will make your insurance rates jump up. sucks you got caught. i think back to all the timers ive been out flying down the roads and havent gotten caught and all the times ive come close.
i did get busted when i was 17 or 18 doing 100 mph on the hiway, 60 mph speed limit

Agreed. If a cop starts chasing you and you run, you are responsible for their outcome. If they wreck and take a minivan full of kids with them, it's on your head. Not saying they will, but think before you act. It's just a ticket.
