Found a fixer-upper '98
I scored this bike off CL for $1200 +100 in gas to pick it up. 36k on the clock but it runs good. Has v&h pipes which are a little loud but the tone is nice. It's going to need a few things to make it perfect but I thought the price was ok. Seems these bikes are hard to find under $3000
I've read alot about some of the problems like the tensioners and regulator but I'll sort that out in due time.
See you in the classifieds!

I got a little more work done on the Hawk. My front calipers were packed with dust so I cleaned those out and flushed with dot-4. It's nice having functioning front brakes. New chain, sprockets, and cleaned that mess out from under the slave cylinder. Clutch flushed with dot-4. Carbs cleaned and sync'd. New plugs. New grips. New levers. Started painting it to see how I like the look of yellow. Looks gooood. I'll do base/clear for the final painting.
I'm in need of stock mirrors, bar ends, lower front fairing, clutch cover, shifter, and OEM turn signals. Does anyone have any of those parts to help the noob?

Your talking about the right side clutch cover right? Not the front sprocket cover that the slave mounts to. My clutch cover was sealed with JB weld and leaking. I have a friend who can TIG but he said we'd have to cut out the crack and fill it because the JB contaminates the weld. Figured I'd try and just find one and save the trouble.
