First Ride

I finaly got to take my first ride on my new VTR. I purchased the bike three weeks ago from a dealer at home but because I go to school 7 hours away I haven't been able to see it yet (talk about a tease). So I got home on the wednesday before Easter and of course there's sh*tty weather. I took her out for a quick spin around town that night and another quick spin Thursday but had to make a trip down to Boston to visit a friend. To make a long story short I didn't get to go for a decent ride until Easter Sunday. Damn was it worth the wait. I didn't get off the bike all day. I think my family was kinda pissed that they had to wait for me to eat dinner, but whatever.

I'm now back at school and I have a constant reminder on my desktop background of whats waiting for me at home... sure makes studying tough.

Thought I'd share a few pics of beautiful Vermont with you guys.

I've been smiling ever since.

As for the mods, they'll come as soon as my bank account rebounds (poor college student).

first mod would be to replace those stock cam chain tensioners.

Re: First Ride

The bike has less than 7500 miles on it. So I shouldn't have to worry about the CCT's for quite some time, right?

ASAP, cam chain tensioners have let go at any mileage. And they can let go with no warning at all. cheap insurance.(although you do have to get two tensioners)
