FAT REAR TIRE

What's the fat-est tire that can be mounted on a Superhawk?

The rear wheel of the VTR was designed for the 180/55/17 tire. It will accept the 190/50/17, but that tire will be at least slightly distorted when fitted to the undersized wheel. Don't know why anyone would want that unless they value having a "fat looking" tire more than an optimal performing tire.

I tried a 190 and didn't like the way it sloed down handling mid-corner. It made the bike feel sluggish between initial turn-in and full lean. In fact, I am running a 6" rear rim (my beloved PVM's) on my VTR now and have a 180/55 on the rear on it. A 190/55 may be next but no more 190/50's for this guy.

technically a 210 will "FIT". But it will look ridiculous, be dangerous to corner with, and not last. TRUST ME..... 190 is as big as you can go on this rim, and even then a 180 will last longer because it's contact patch is wider.
