Fall/Winter projects

It's getting colder here in New England which means most of the riding will be done in another month or so. Anyone care to share what upgrades or maintenance they have in mind for their bike(s) in the off season?

I'm thinking of upgrading the suspension as mine is stock. New tires and a better seat are likely.

possible jet kit installation with an air filter. not much, but i just dont have the money for anything else. that, and i love how my bike runs just like it is. also, i dont see any reason to wait that long to install the exhaust ill be getting soon, so thats it for winter.

First real rain of the year

today in the northern Bay Area. I'll be doing a coolant change, new plugs & air filter, Galfer stainless brake lines, and monitoring some saved Ebay searches for a shock, fork conversion parts and fork brace.

I hope it will be as loud as the last one!

If there is money left over from mods to the sled, I will throw an Ohlins rear shock on.

I'll be going with the 6 spoke CBR F3 front and CBR900RR rear, powdercoating them white (I must like cleaning wheels cause I'm gonna be doing it a lot) hopefully in Oct. or November. Also plan on getting some GenMar risers, changing the coolant, brake/clutch fluid, cleaning out my K&N and that's it. I'll start saving (begging the wife?) for suspension upgrades next year.

doogle, the hands down easiest and best stuff for getting brake dust and other crap off wheels is simple green its concentrated soap. you just spray some on the wheels, chain and anything you want let it sit for a couple minutes then just hose off or you can scrub a little bit if you have the time.

I will be looking for reasonable priced brake mods and already have a fender elimination kit to throw on. Need to do some more reading around here for front suspension upgrades.
