Fall Ride

Here are a few picks from today's ride in the canyons here in the Black Hills. It was a perfect day!

The wife was along and took the pics! Kind of fun to see the hawk in action for the first time!

How does your wife like riding on the back? Is the hawk pretty stable riding two up?

She likes it for short distances ~60-120 mi, but not more. Super stable as long as you make sure you adjust to rear shock to 5-6 clicks. You really notice how crappy the front shock is though with the additional weight. I hardly notice she is there most of the time.

Sure is pretty. With my bike up on stands I'm damn jealous.

what kind is the camera you are using? And is that a 2nd gear wheelie?

Real nice scenery and view... I always love the fall colors around here (Western NY)

I was using a Nikon D70, and as much as I'd like to say it was a 2nd gear wheelie it wasn't.

RickB-I grew up near the Adirondacks, (Malone, NY), and really miss the true fall colors of the NE. We don't get the variety of colors out here...just the aspens turning yellow.

Thanks for the comments!

I lived near Belle Fourche for a few years. I liked it there a whole lot better than I do here in Greenville NC. There is no fall anything...no colors, change in temp, anything. The only positive is that the humidity is gone.

But you know.....the grass is always greener.

I just moved to the DFW from Phoenix and the riding here does not compare. No fall colors in AZ but the views when riding are as diverse as they get. Forest to desert in less than 1 hour. It was totally awesome. In TX the scenery is nice but never changes.
