Re: Dyno run

Except for the rejetting, none of your mods increase Hp. Try headers to compliment your Microns. I suspect a 4Hp gain with them.

Re: Dyno run

Thanks for the advice Mike but the bike is doing exactly what I want it to do: pull like gangbusters in the lows and mids. It is much stronger and more responsive than stock. Besides, I have poured enough money into already for one year.

Also, the dyno operator made a comment that it was a strong running VTR (and they mod quite a few of them) so that is good enough for me. Besides, if I really wanted top end, I would buy a R1 (since Yamaha is my favourite brand anyhow)

cheers

Thanks for that... I love the warning at the top of page...

What do you call headers ?

Mikstr, Is it the power out of the wheel, the crank or the gearbox ?

Re: Dyno run

of course measurements are always made at the rear wheel but corrections are sometimes applied to calculate corresponding power at the crank or gearbox ...
So this dyno represents around 105 Hp at the wheel ? ( Then about 115 hp at the crank ? )
