Quitting!!
Hey I hear your pain on this...
I know when you are frustrated with something like this, advice that's not helpful or already been tried can knot your shorts..so bear with me. The randomness of this makes me think electrical..Bad ground, bad contact. Moisture and the ensuing corrosion can cause silly things to happen. Once found an issue in a V/65 Sabre for a friend like this. A thought...Pop the open all the electrical connectors you can find.(spray them with cleaner or WD 40 and then treat them with Dielectric Grease).especially the ones around the Ignition Control Module....switches...Even swap out the main fuse..had them malfunction even when they looked okay...After that..new ignition system..I have had good experiences with the Honda Canada...talking with service people and the like...Mind boggling to think they are brushing you off...Dealer needs to be an advocate for you in this............Get an e-mail for the offending party in this and we can all send them the challenge to do the right thing....
Canadian Ally in the War on Terrorism..even in a Honda Shop!!!

"Does this happen just whenever, or when coasting to a stop with the clutch in?"
Good statement HawkRider, i think most of the SuperHawks i have ridden will die every time you pull the clutch in if say running 40 - 60 MPH, just a characteristic.
Need more information on your problem!
Is you idle set correctly? If set just a tad to low they SuperChicken will die when you stop for a Red light.

Reading through your previous post:

I wanted to ask about the rectifier.
Did you ever try replacing it?
Sure sounds like that might be the culprit.
