also, i need a new battery..... anyone know a good website for batteries. i found the one that has a yuasa for 55$ and some other ones..... but didnt know if there was a good brand. my s3 thunderbolt has a odyssey in it, but i guess they dont make em for vtr's.

You can get the tiny bulbs at an auto parts store too. The low fuel light however is an LED and might be special order honda only(?).

I can't believe its burnt out. Anyone know where the sensor is located that trips it? **prays it not inside the fuel tank**

S'Hawks without digital guages have just one connector right there at the tank/seat junction. Just take the seat off and look for a white two lead connector in that bundle of connectors by the battery. Yours may be simply unplugged.

If that isn't it, then you'll have to remove the tank (best when near empty) and pull the sensor (4 nuts). Be careful pulling it out as it's L-shaped with a large float on the end. The service manual probably has an electrical test for it.
