Clip on and lever questions for '03 SH

Clip on and lever questions for '03 SH
Hi All!
I'm new to the forum and just picked up an '03 SH. The bike needs a bit of work and I had a few questions about replacement parts.
1.) I will need a new left clip on handlebar and notice that almost all after market clip ons list they are good up to the year 2002. Will it work for an 03? Any good suggestions on brands for clip ons?
2.) The break lever seems like a far reach...even when adjusted all the way back. I have very long fingers so this is really surprising...is this normal on the SH?

welcome jonny. Congrats on your new ride. You came to the right place for lots of good people with lots of good answers. search the classified sect. Also search helibars, convertibars , tomaselli to find out who thinks what. Put a list of stuff in the classified WTB.
the reach to the brake lever can be shortened a bit with that little adjuster and if that isn't enough you need to buy an aftermarket adjustable.

Not much changed on the VTR over the years... I'm pretty sure the clip ons that you found will work for every year. There are a bunch of threads around for people looking for different clip-ons. I haven't needed to change mine so don't know much about that one.
Lots of knowledge here so don't be afraid to snoop around... you'll find fixes to things you didn't even know were an issue on the Hawk,
