Very interested. Has anyone tried to re-upholster a seat on their own? Is it a hard thing to do?

i have not done the SH seat but i have done 2 for my kz 650 (with the help of my mom) who for some reason had a real knack for it... anyway, pretty easy just take your time pulling the fabric tight and inspecting very often, there are a few good write ups on line if you google seat re-upholster

Great job on the paint. Having painted mine by rattle can I know how tedious it can be, but with a whole lot of patience and a $40 worth of 2500 grit sand paper the results can be phenominal.
Reupholstering the seat is something I've been curious about. Does anyone know what kind of foam/gel inserts Corbin or Sargent seats use and are these materials available at a reasonable enough cost that these seats could be a feasible diy project?
