Chinese rotors

So has anyone tried the chinese brake rotors. I cant believe I am even asking but there is not much info out there as to whether they work or will get you killed in record time.

I am getting older but after a 22 year racing career I still get on it and keep a pretty brisk pace. I just would really not trust cheaper rotors. The galfer or ebc rotors are like $515 per pair and the ayashi are like 189ish.

Let me know if you or someone you know have tried them.. thanks.

Joe,

IMO, the Ayashi are "The Way", or used.

These used ones up in Beertown look pretty good. I think the brake pad rust stains will work out. I prefer to bead blast rotors first, then hit them lightly with a ball hone.

Then, after 110,000 miles, I went to the EBC Contours which then were relatively inexpensive.

Rear rotors are pretty inexpensive.

I either run EBC HH+ pads, or Vesrah RJL

Then a thorough rinse with 91% isopropyl alcohol and a red Scotchbrite pad...

How you bean kid?

Hey Bret you think they are used? I have used the ebc on the track back in the day and didnt really like them. I found the galfer waves to be stronger but yeah I guess more pricey.

It looks like the galfers are about$515 like I said. Good to see someone else is using a ball hone.

I recently got new RJL pads which are double the cost of the HH ones. They are way stronger but to bed them in I scotch wheeled the rotors down to bare metal then did the ball hone for cross hatch patern.

I actually have 2 spare sets of VTR rotors since both my bikes have CBR front ends.
