I failed inspection in Maryland because they require that the bike have a chain guard. I've searched all the usual suspects online trying to find one. Ebay has one but not so sure about the seller.. Anyone know where I can get one or have one they want to sell? The dealer tried charging me $75.00 for one (rip off).. Thanks in advance.

 

Someone should have one collecting dust but if not these guys will sell you a new one for $36

Good lookin out man.. that's an even better deal.. I swear I put in the search box on ebay VTR1000 chainguard, Honda, mixed matched the wording and it only pulled up one guy and the chainguard looked like it went thru hell and back.

 

I have one that has been notched by the PO for a 190 tire. I installed a swing arm brace and replaced it with a hugger. $20 + shipping. If your interested PM me and I'll send pics and work out shipping.

 

My only concern with it would be that it still might get declined if it's been modified. I didn't expect them to be such sticklers about this..

That's a great offer man.. I appreciate it. I'm in Frederick. I think by the time we met up or I came to get it then brought it back I could have just picked up one from the Honda parts replacement place online for not much more than it would cost in gas and time.
