Ceramic coating now on

I picked up my Akra system from the chap who applied the ceramic coating yesterday (opted for a satin black finish). I must say that so far I am not overly impressed. To begin with, it cost me $260 (taxes in) and I get the impression the inside was only haphazardly coated. Then, when installing it, the areas that got (inevitably) dinged or rubbed up against had the coating removed. Granted he told me that the "cooking" process gets completed on engine start-up (which should harden it), but so far it seems no better than hi-temp paint. I sure hope it cooks on there good and strong and actually acts as a heat barrier.....

Keep us posted with pictures as I am thinking about doing the same thing.
What brand of coating did you use? Did you temp your pipe before you removed it to have it coated?

Did not temps my pipe beforehand. As for the coating, it was applied by a small independent shop here in the Montreal area; I`ll try to find out what the name of the exact coating is. I had done a bit of research on the Net prior to going and there seemed to be favourable comments about them....
