Cape Breton Highlands
So at the last minute three buddies and I decided to venture to the Cape Breton Highlands in Nova Scotia Canada. This is commonly known as the Cabot Trail and is frequently referred to as one of Canada's best motorcycle rides.
There was a 2004 VTR, 2004 VFR, 2005 FZ6 and a 2007 900 Vulcan (please hold the laughter)
Its a pretty twisty run in the actual National Park section of the trail with many sharp turns and challenging transitions. I have included some pics that I took along with some stock photos from different websites to help give you folks an idea of what its like.
There is a tree somewhere in Deals gap where you hang parts of your bikes after you ditch. There is no such tree in these parts.... If you ditch on most of the roads here you end up in the Atlantic Ocean after a pretty steep fall.
What I learned from my trip
1. Stock braking system with stainless steel lines still isnt great
2. A set of Heli Bars is now worth the money
3. I know why there is no letter "r" in FZ6
4. An after market seat (Corbin or Sargent) is now worth the money
5. Over 1000kms in 34 hours with any combination of the above is a little too much
6. It is possible to still find time to drink 12 beer before going to bed after day one
7. It is next to impossible to to wake up hang over free after 12 beer
8. Its ok to make fun of/laugh at/ridcule your buddy as he is drinking an 8 pack of Orange Creamcicle Coolers while he is sporting his leather chaps and recently parked his 900 Vulcan
9. The VTR burns a lot of gas at 200kms an hour but your *** hurts so much you dont care
10. A big assed Joe Rocket tank bag make a great pillow on long rides
11. It is possible to fall asleep while operating a motorcycle.
12. The Ol Hawk didn't let me down.....
13. I like going up steep twisty hills rather than going down them
If anyone ever comes to Nova Scotia....lemme know....Ill do it all over again

Not too many VTR's anywhere in North America.... you basically have a choice of squids (and their sportbikes) or the Harley/cruiser crowd....
BTW, awesome pics, I have been wanting to ride the Cabot Trail for years now... soon....
