Hey guys.....been gone a while. Had to have neck surgery, so been off the bike for months now. Finally got back on 3 weeks ago....and second trip out was for my class reunion. I was walking out of the bar, and watched someone back into my hawk.....and leave! I ran down the street, got a plate number, and after 2 WEEKS of no help.....found out it was an old classmate....who is a cop. Said he "didn't know he did it". Yea......I believe that one. And the local PD was so helpful in finding him.
So, his adjuster is coming out this afternoon. Got an estimate from a local shop on parts and the guy that did the paint on here....
Parts/ Labor - $2778.95
Paint - $3000+-
Gee, wonder what they are gonna do about this one? I have a pretty good guess. So...don't know if my bird will be back on the road or not. If not, you may see some parts come up on here. Actually had it sold to a guy so I could get something "more my age" as my wife likes to put it....lol. He called me 2 days after this happened and told me he had the money....what a bummer for both of us.
