This bike is it!!!!

Hi everyone. I'm a new hawk owner, and me and this bike finally got together!!

I started riding about 6yrs ago, on a ninja 500r. I always like the hawk, but never got one.

I traded the 500r in, and the dealer had a used superhawk, but insted i got a 2001 R6......nice bike.

I then owned, a 2003 cbr600rr.....fun bike. sold it.

then I wanted something different....got a brand new 2003 Kawasaki z1000....nice bike, but more of a show bike. although I did slay the dragon on it!!

I rode a buddies RC51, and really loved the sound and power delivery, but it was a bit extreme for everyday riding.

so FINALLY.....I found a used 98 superhawk in the paper, and couldn't wait, i had to try this bike out that I had wanted for soooooo long.

I can honestly say, I've test rode alot of buddies bikes, and this is by far the funnest bike to ride that I've ridden. the Rc51 is cool, but it's sooo track oriented that it's hard to enjoy on the street. I really enjoy the superhawk, and look forward to talking about it on here.!!!!

oh, did i mention this is the best wheelie bike i've ever ridden!!!

thanks for the welcome.

as of now, the bike is all stock. been working on getting the suspension set up just right, so far i like it.

I've heard that exhaust is a must for this bike, but I'm not in a rush to spend $700.

im located in Baton Rouge Louisiana!

I must say that I am surprised (if not impressed) that you enjoy the 'hawk so much after riding the 1000 and numerous recent 600's. I find myself losing perspective on how nice the bike is when I see the latest and greatest and see how quickly my bike has depreciated. I switched from an F4i, and really enjoyed the difference in riding.

Thanks for the refreshing enthusiasm!

Eric,

Hey, try putting this in the classifieds or ebay sections. It'll get more attention. I tried looking on ebay but didn't find your auction. Is it the Show and Go set with slight rust on the brackets? I didn't think it was because the city and state didn't match up.

"wheelies? the SH doesnt wheelie !!! Oh no...doesnt wheelie at all. First one I ever rode was going down I-5 in second gear and got the bright idea "lets see what this thing has got". Pinned the gas and let it rev. At about 7-8 thou I was doing a real cool wheelie at 80+ mph. Just had to buy one after that!
