Best fitting tank bag for VTR?

I've tried using my old Eclipse Standard tank bag on my VTR but have found it's a little too big for the VTR tank.
Plus the rear buckle is uncomfortable when riding in a tucked position.
What magnetic tank bag(s) have you found that better fit the Superhawk tank?
I need one large enough to carry my lunch/dinner sack & a small thermos of coffee plus the other usual stuff sunglasses, cell phone, small terry cloth shield cleaning towel, etc.
Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Also ...Has anyone tried the 3M paint protector film on the tank to prevent scratches? What's the trick to making it fit the compound curves of the tank?

Tourmaster Magnetic: http://store.azmusa.com/nylmagtaanba.html

That picture shows it expanded. It's about 5 inches high otherwise

Re: Best fitting tank bag for VTR?

I'm a fan of the Joe Rocket stuff.

For just carrying wallet, sunglasses, Plexus etc my Joe Rocket Manta is awesome. When I'm done I can fold the magnet flaps underneath and it sticks halfway into my helmet. Its like a man purse hehe

Then if I need to carry a sixpack or more I've got this Joe Rocket flat bag with a handle on it that can expand.

Both bags sit flat enough and are unobtrusive for tucked riding.

For larger capacity the Oxford bag is great. Its curved to fit your body and you can comfortably lie on it, which is nice on longer rides, and its top drawer quality.

Chase Harper, I think it was 21 litre. Small but expands up, would easily hold that and more. I've gone very fast with stuff in and have had no issues. I bought it on sale for $45.

I lay on my tank for my 70 mile one-way commute most of the time.. so a tank bag is not a good choice for me... is there something out there that I can strap to the back seat ( over the cowl or rear seat) that does look too bulky?

Sorry for the hi-jack, still in the storage category...

Joe rocket velocity line has a tail bag that doesn't look too bad. Cycleworld fitted one to a hyabusa in thier sport tour shootout this month.

They've got a pic of it on a zx but no real info, don't know why. I'm sure if you call around someone must carry it.

Re: Best fitting tank bag for VTR?

Storage space looks a little tight on that one but definitely a winner in the styling dept.

Damn that is a deal at $129. Tank bag, tail pack, & saddle bags !!!
Almost wish I had a Yellow S'hawk instead of blue.
Jump on that deal bro (if it matches your bike!)
