Anyone Riding With A Vista Cruise Control

I want to get a throttle lock for the long trips I have to make down to school a few times a year. The Throttlemeister (I have no idea if thats spelled correctly) is frickin expensive and a cheaper option seems to be the Vista. Does anyone have any experience with this product or can anyone reccomend a better device. And also, are the Hawk's handle bars 1" or 7/8"? Thanks.

I think the throttle side is usually 1 inch and the clutch side is 7/8" because of the throttle tube?My dad is soon to be 56 years old and rides a 1990 cbr-1000 he has a vista type cruise 15$ job.and loves it he has had it for 5-6 years and it never failed yet. I need to get on the ball and get one to.

I have on on my SH, I had to move the grip out slightly so it would not rub but other than that it works great

NEP is better IMO, same price range as the vista. I use to point and laff at those things but no more. In fact, I consider it a must do mod. Just remember, all of them are throttle locks not cruise controls and aren't going to be great at holding a speed perfectly.

Most bikes are 7/8's with HD/cruiser types using 1 inch.

I just recently got the Throttlemeisters for Lil' Red. Expensive, but the finish is very clean and I needed a bar end anyway. I used to have the Vista on my FJ and it worked just as well. As "bling" said, they are not cruise control so when you hit the uphill be prepared to take over...though, the tourque in the twin seems to handle it much better than the in-line 4 the FJ had. (IMO)

I like the fact that the Throttlemeister does not clutter my bars but that's just a personal choice.

Cheers

I used a Vista Cruise...worked fine. The stop put the lever in the wrong position so I moved the stop & safety wired it to stay put. Just had to be careful not to tweek the Vista Cruise - avoid binding
