102dals is an unknown quantity at this point
I currently own 3 streetbikes, and a dirtbike. Applying appropriate priority for parts/repairs can be a challenge.
The streetbikes, a SHawk & 2 HawkGTs, serve separate functions so that makes it easier. My dirtbike is a learner model, to teach family members & friends how to ride. This makes the prioritization easier.

seems like having a street bike and another toy thats for off roading is the more popular option, and a little cheaper aswell than 2 street bikes

btw i traded my 04 polaris predator for this bike, the thing had a 530 stroker motor, hindle pipe 1/4 twist throttle and a few other goodies. the kid has only ever been on dirt bikes. rode this around, i watched it get loose on him a few times at part throttle, he pulled up to me white and expressionless. and then the other day a friend of mine found it for sale on kijiji by him,

http://kitchener.kijiji.ca/c-cars-ve...AdIdZ237408304

Its a 530 cc stroker(bored 30 over). has a 1/4 turn twist throttle, Full hindle exhaust system , Liquid Cooled, new wheel bearings, new battery, DYNO jet kit. its a beast and not for beginners. $4000 o.b.o. Will trade for Sled or anything of equal or more value
i knew it woiuld scare the kid, lol.

Recently purchased a bone stock 2003 Superhawk. I also have a not so stock 73 Suzuki GT550 triple-2 and a 69 Kawi F-5.

There is no way I can part with the cafe 2-stroke!

More than one bike? Ahhhh............. yeah. As of today I've got one less, but the total is still 9. Oh well, I've come to grips with the fact that it's a sickness.

Stopped counting a while back... Makes it easier if my significant other asks me... Then I can honestly say I don't know...

'00 CBR929RR - Had it since Sept. /04, plan on keeping it forever. Lots of spares for it, and track bodywork.

'03 TW200 - Fun little trail bike & around town scoot. It's an x-course bike from the MSF course I've been teaching for the last 6 years.

'98 VTR1000F - The price was right, it's been modded tastefully, and it makes a better streetbike than the CBR.

Multiple bikes is a sickness for sure. Now I've got to build a nice big shed to store them all, or move and get a place with a garage... hmmm... big garage, more bikes!

I did the same thing 2 years ago. Got a '78 CB750F from my friend that had been sitting in a garage for probably 20 years. Only had about 5,000 k on it.

Turned it into this.

that's a great little machine you got there. That's an interesting bar/mirror set-up. Did you create that deal?

I'm fortunate enough to own 2 bikes. A 2002 Honda XR650L for manifold duties characterized by extreme versatility:

5% dirt/woods
10% fire roads
40% testing higher velocities in the twisties
39% spreading gravel on PAs pathetic tar and chip repairs.
1% snow duty(clad with chains)
5% cold weather riding(equipped with Hot Grips and ATV mits)

Would not want to be without this one.

Just a bar end mirror, and a set of adjustable clubman bars from the '70s. I kinda regret getting rid of the bars, they were some italian company... can't remember the name... hmmm.

I sold the bike about a year ago. I'm used to riding sportbikes and sumo bikes, and I was really overriding that 750, constantly scraping hardparts, mostly just pegs & exhaust... I knew it was going to come back to bite me, so I sold it off.

oh well, there's always another bike, err... uhh... many bikes it seems.

Cinelli, Modolo bars maybe?Yeah i had the bottoms of my old norton megaphones flatened, but never really upset things too much. Once when i whipped it over from a hard right to a hard left, I hit the megaphone so hard It slid sideways about 4 or 5 feet and, didn't highside thankfully, just kept on gettin it.

Anyway, nice bike. Thanks for the pics.

99 VTR - first bike, just finished 3rd season with it....
01 zx7r - bought on a whim with intentions to turn it into a track bike, and never really did anything with it. cleaned the carbs, spent maybe an hour riding it and found it way to uncomfortable.
08 gsxr 750 - this is gonna become my primary ride next season. its a great bike and i picked it up for a great price.

BUT

everyone once in a while, i come across something like this and thing to myself....man that looks like a lot of fun...

Yeah, the race ones are yellow. 2 street ones are both 98 red hawks (one sport touring, one SSS, CBR front end & Mario Nava bodywork)

that's the one i would be riding. I like the husky 610 also. great handling suspension for smoothing out irregular surfaces, will kick most sportbikes' asses in the twisties, comfy, and can serve you well on fireroads and trails.

DRZ400SM is fun, but I need more snap. I need a SM to break loose the rear tire when I goose it coming out of a corner, progressively slide and hook up when I point her straight; the DRZ400 won't do that.

It'll wheelie on the clutch in second, and on the gas in first. I had it doing 143kph strung right out & i'd expected more.

It's fun, but you'd have to put a couple grand + in cams, exhaust, flatslide carb, 3x3 airbox mod, and possibly a big bore kit to make it a real Tard.

Something like a couple year old KTM 525 SMC would be the ticket.

Just my .02c

That'd be sweet.

tried a couple of my cousins dirtbikes yesterday. An '08 (I think???) YZ125R motocross bike... Stupidity fun for sure. Clutches up real easy in 2,3 probably4th... Feels like I'm riding a BMX bike it's so light.

Tried his CR85R as well... now theres a bike thats almost impossible to ride. Powerband is so narrow and wheelbase is so short, when you hit the powerband it tries to wheelie over backwards almost instantly... 2,3,4th whatever... My uncle piloted it into a tree a couple months back and snapped the bars in half; retarded little 2 stroke.

I say ride anything you can get your hands on, but respect it, even a little CR85R can hurt you quick; I had the bugger verticle in a field trying to fight the front end back down, thought I'd lost it for sure!

hahaa.

The long trips on the VTR was getting tougher every year so I broke down and bought a FJR1300. My wife didn't squawk one bit when I gave her the news since the Firestorm was getting hard on her ***. She rides with me a lot more now. It has plenty of power and I can ride all day without any problems.
Having said that I still like my VTR and don't plan on selling her. It is now used strictly for track days since insuring 2 bikes is way too much money.

'96 FXDL - My daughter likes to take a spin here and there. + the bike was ridden by my late mom.

'03 Superhawk - Fastest Street bike I have ever owned. I'm really enjoying rolling on the throttle in turns having the bike spin the rear up ever so slightly. What a thrill. Quite honestly I may drop offroad and give the track a try. The twin is a beautiful motor.

'09 KTM 200 XCW - Enduro Race bike

'11 KTM 250 XC - Hare Scrambles bike | Practice bike | Trail bike. Too heavy and too much HP to race Enduros on.

.... prepping for the last D14 race... steering stem bearing grease it's been a wet season. And tire change front and back in 30 degree weather - sucks. I'm a bit tired of bolt prep and 243.

Classified as a Squid. Change that Admin.

I got my Hawk in the beginning of this summer, I took it to two trackdays, and lowsided on the second...that prompted me to get a track specific bike, so I traded my 88 supra for two, yes two FZR-600R trackbikes. Took the running/riding FZR to New Jersey Motorsports park two weeks ago, all I can say is WOW, it's amazing riding a bike set up for the track, it handled soooo much better compared to my Hawk on stock suspension, I couldn't believe it. Can't wait for spring.....
