Hi all,
New to this forum but not new to bikes and other forums.
I picked up a front end damaged 98 VTR1000 for dirt cheap. Actually it's for dirt use also. I hope I won't offend too many people with what I plan to do with this bike. CR forks are almost ready to go on. No front fairing. Stock wheels with supermoto tires. Jardine high mounts.
Here's the blank canvas.
More pics to come when I make some progress.
Jim.

No offense at all, sounds very cool. Haven't seen anything like that on here and sure it will meet with a positive response. We like seeing new cool stuff like that. Any frame damage? Be sure to check out the neck and the welds around it. They're prone to at least cracking in a front impact like that. I actually managed to completely rip my frame in half (neck and forks completely off-I have pics) a few years back. Make sure to send some pics when you're done-I'm sure everyone wants to see. Any mods to the rear suspension? By the way what kind of shape is that Corbin seat in or are you keeping it? Have the same seat right now I bought used but looking for a like brand new one w/o the brand new price LOL. Welcome.

The seat is in good shape.
And I'm planning on keeping it. I do need something to sit on. I checked the frame for cracks. The only spot I found was the right fork stop. It was a little compressed but still functional.
I'll definitely post more pics as I progress.
