Ok.. so this is a TEST.... to see if I can get a bigger better pic on here. If this doesn't work... aparently I need some additional 'training'.... and if it does work, yes that is one of my MX trophies.... lol

Here's how is goes:
You must accept the fact that the Superhawk was based on a great engine attached to a flexible aluminum frame. This is a good thing and a bad thing.
For lighter riders the stock suspension sucks. Nothing short.
When the suspension was reworked I can work my way to the front of traffic every time within a couple hundred yards. Yeah, the frame flexes but that's a good thing as I'm diggin' the back but moving the front to what's next.
For heavier riders, Greg can weigh in here, but for riders above 190 I think the frame flexes too much to be an aggressive force on the track. Probably ok on the street but wiggley in forced situations. Fork brace probably helps as most members report.
For those of us in the 165 range this bike, properly tuned, is better than any Lotus they can sell you.

BTW, Doug's an old guy but weighs in soaking wet at like 150# or something.
Remember, Doug, it's not the bike, it's the rider. And there is ALWAYS someone faster than you out there. I thought I was quick running in NESBA Advanced until some dude with a completely stock VTR passed me on the outside, full lean, knee a'scrapin, with the rear of the bike all over the place. He just rode around the bike's shortcomings. Helluva rider that guy was!

Whether you're 16 or 60, "really old" is the guy who has at least 5-10 years on you.
"Really old" to me is the guy who is 95-100. Guys who are 50-60 aren't really old, they're middle aged and are likely to be around for another 25-35 years. And the fact that a middle aged guy is of a mindset and physicality to be still riding sportbikes? You can probably tack another 10 or 15 years onto that.
PS. I weigh 148 lbs soaking wet when I get out of the shower, and the suspension, paticularly the front of the VTR is noticeably inadequate for me. I need to come up with 1200 or 1300 bucks to fix that.
